A break-through!

I have just made an incredible discovery! You may have noticed that I've been severely slipping in my resolution to post every day. Today, I have suddenly realised why. The problem is not that I'm a lazy arse suffer from Effort Deficit Disorder, nor that I'm too busy to post. The problem is that my life is just too damn diverse, a messy melange of gigs, clubs, films and friends. Now, up until now I had though this a good thing, but I've just enjoyed two very pleasant evenings, and utilising my programmer code-reuse skills have produced two (2) posts about them with a minimum of additional effort. All I have to do is make sure my life continues to follow this pattern, and I can have fun and talk about it on my journal with maximum efficiency.

But this is only the start. To demonstrate the full power of this awesome discovery, I will now post about... MY FUTURE!

Friday night
We had been organised, for once, so took the opportunity to spend some quality time with tinyjo's family. They cooked me a delicious meal, then we sat around drinking a bottle of decent red wine chatting, followed by Jeremy Hardy. I hadn't seen JH before, though I'd kind of been meaning to for ages, not least because various mates recommend him highly. We were all really impressed: good concepts, and the delivery, scripting and direction were all top-notch. On the whole, it was a really enjoyable evening. We must do it again some time soon.

Currently I'm catching up with tinyjo's family. It rocks, though you should probably have started with it from the beginning...

Good thing you didn't
Start with her family from the beginning, I mean. If you and she had grown up in the same house from babyhood life would have been all tangled up later on.

Next door neighbours, now, that would have been different, and you would only have had to struggle with being thought of as a cliche.

Or as deeply sensible, like my Italian friend Nicola: when I asked him if he would ever have considered marrying someone who didn't come from his town, he looked at me as if I was mad, and then explained the utter impossibility of having a happy life if you married outside your village. The guy is a full professor and a scientist...

I think you've got your starting point right. labr ends tongue in cheek HERE rabr
