Kicking, if anything, more arse than ever. I spazzed out at the front in a cloud of attractive women. Big win.
I'm at a pre-festival gig with my dad. Yes, not only will I be live-blogging music this weekend, but the weekend starts here...
Previously, I had dismissed this band as competent but underwhelming pub rock. Reassuringly, they proved me completely right.
Decent jumpy ska. The ideal soundtrack to a picnic in the sun, which attracts friends like one of those beer-filled slug traps
Chunky, riffy indie music, with melodically shouty girls on vocals. It's like the 90s never ended. In a good way.
Competent but profoundly forgettable rhythm and blues. Perfectly for ignoring while sitting around & drinking wine.
Emo-y indie. Underwhelming, but partly due to technical problems. Even the inter-song banter was inaudible. Shame...
Both enjoyably ridiculous and ridiculously enjoyable. Extremely adept at sharing how much fun they're having.
Great name, but the only thing that stood out in their pleasant folky country set was an ace Ah-Ha cover.
Pretty people, pretty songs, though more cute than excellent. We drowsed, chatted and read through it. Nice.
Dense, murky, stream-of-consciousness rapping in a montone drawl over country-flavoured beats. Dryly charming between songs.Yes!
Heavy, hooky, punky rock; interspersed with incongruous country tunes. Good, if a tad baffling. Staving off cold with layers & tea
Loved their slow mournful songs, less taken by their pacier country rock numbers, but enjoyed them nevertheless. Excellent.
I always dismiss them as dull, so was surprised to hear a rather nice (if Coldplay-esque) track. Then they reverted to form...
